I would give this a 8.India has witnessed a remarkable growth in milk production during the last few decades due to the success of the Operation Flood programme, which is one of the world’s largest and successful integrated dairy development programs initiated in 1970s. It mixes nicely, sands down well and it’s reasonably priced.

It dries at a reasonable rate, sands down very well and like the rest of the Toupret range, it doesn’t flash/grin through after applying paint. Toupret joint and skim mixes up easily and goes on smoothly. I have only used the powder form so I can’t comment on the ready mixed sorry. Toupret joint and skim comes in ready mixed and powder form. This is a downside for me, but it does fit it’s purpose well. This filler is only suitable for very small imperfections and anything deeper the 1mm it will sink. Like other Toupret products, it offers quick drying times and will not flash or grin through. Toupret fine surface filler is a ready mixed lightweight filler for fine surface imperfections. It also dries fairly quickly and is reasonably priced. The only negative is it doesn’t come in bigger tubs. The instructions on the tub say it doesn’t require sanding, but I would suggest that you still need to sand down. Toupret Redlite is a ready mixed lightweight filler that offers a quick drying time and doesn’t flash. I did have a problem once when the moisture from my emulsion made the filler swell, but I think that was down to me applying too much paint in one go. That said, it is easy to work with, easy to sand and doesn’t flash through emulsion. In fact, you can be waiting a couple of hours on some deeper holes, or if you’re working in cold conditions. Toupret TX110 isn’t quite as “rapid drying” as the name suggests. Another downside is the lid doesn’t fit properly so the filler can start to hard when left.ħ/10 – A couple of drawbacks but this is still a brilliant product. Toupret ready mixed is fluffy and easy to use. To be honest, I have had a nightmare painting over lightweight filler from other brands, so this is a breath of fresh air. They advise you to leave the filler for 12 hours to cure, which is a pain, however unlike most fine surface fillers there is no flashing. This is a lightweight ready mixed filler which is ideal for minor surface imperfections in plaster or woodwork. The problem was the filler remained more porous than the stonework around it and drew water from the surrounding stone.įor that reason, I give Toupthlith-F 4/10. I had to go back to a job I had completed a few months previously because the masonry paint I had used on some exterior windowsills had discolored over every repair I’d made.

I suppose the plus point is you can paint over repairs on the same day, but it can cause problems too. This one dries powdery and grainy, will contract as it dries and sometimes retains water. Toupthlith-F is also an exterior filler designed for repairs to masonry work. The only downside is you will need to leave a repair 24 hours before painting over. In fact, it’s probably the best on the market for what it does. Once mixed, Murex is smooth and easy to use, doesn’t contract as it dries and repairs will last for years. It dries as solid as a rock so try not to over-fill. Murex is an external filler designed for repair work to masonry.

Most of these are available at online at the Paint Shed or My Paintbrsh, as well as many DIY or trade counters I hope you enjoy my Toupret filler review. I will take you through my thoughts for the Toupret fillers I am familiar with, then share the thoughts of other decorators on the ones I’m not. There can be a couple of causes, but that is a different topic altogether. In layman’s terms, this is where you make a repair to say a wall using filler, then proceed to paint the wall, only to have the emulsion over the filler dry a different colour to the rest. One of the things Toupret seem to get right is avoiding the issue of flashing. They produce some great gear, as well as the odd product that isn’t as good. Toupret is a French company, however their products have been available in Britain for a while now.

I have been a professional painter and decorator for many years and over that time I have used several different types of filler, including some from the Toupret range.
